This update on mission statuses is just the beginning of a larger effort to make the process of joining missions better. Next updates include real-time feedback on applications, even faster response times, an interview management tool to book directly with companies, and more.
It was just three years ago that A.Team posted its first mission onto its platform. That mission was building a mobile app for Blank Street — New York’s fastest growing coffee shop. Since then, we’ve posted over 600 missions.
After 600 missions, we asked ourselves, “How can we provide a personalized application experience at scale?”
Back in 2020, we could send builders personal emails to keep them updated on where they are in the application process. And in 2023, with exponentially more missions, we asked ourselves, “How can we provide the personalized experience we used to offer when we had fewer missions — at scale?”

We’ve been hard at work to delivery mission statuses, a fully redesigned experience to track the missions you apply to.
As we built, we had three goals: (1) transparency: feedback on every mission you apply to; (2) speed: a quicker response time — 72hrs or less; and (3) empowerment: the opportunity increase your chances of being selected by updating your application

A reimagined, more intuitive UX
We’ve improved the mission application tracker experience — with a more builder-centric user experience, more intuitive status descriptions, and embedded application feedback for every mission you apply to.
More statuses to track your journey
To provide a more transparent experience, we've introduced more statuses to provide quicker and more detailed feedback — and clear reasons if you're not selected for a mission.
Timely email notifications
As you advance through the mission application process, you will receive email and platform notifications, with clear feedback and direction on what to do next. You can expect to receive feedback on your applications within 72 hours, and sometimes even faster.
The future of joining missions
This update on mission statuses is just the beginning of a larger effort to make the process of applying, interviewing, and onboarding missions better. The team is already hard at work on its next updates which include:
- Real-time feedback on your mission applications — to increase your competitiveness before you hit submit.
- Better visibility into which roles are relevant (or not relevant) for you — and roles that are in higher demand
- Even faster response times after you apply for missions
- A new interview management tool which will allow you to book your interview directly with the company, rather than coordinating through your Team Advisor

Try out the new experience
The revamped mission status experience is now available to all builders on the A.Team platform. To access the feature, simply log into your A.Team account, navigate to the "Applied Missions" tab, and view the status of all your applied missions.
